Week 0 is your time to pause, reflect, and design your Qeap for maximum impact. It’s not about doing tasks yet—it’s about laying the foundation.

🎯 Deciding the Focus of Your Qeap

Your Qeap can be about anything that matters to you:

1️⃣ For work — Identify the most important things to level up in your current role. 2️⃣ For growth outside your job — Focus on an area like communication, sales, or data. This can help you grow or switch careers in the future. 3️⃣ For personal goals — Use Qeap to work on fitness, relationships, or hobbies.

The value of Qeap: It can be the main driver of everything you do, or it can be that one small thing you care about—like a personal passion project.

Example: Last quarter, I had no time to focus on chess. Work was intense, but I started a Qeap with one goal: improve my chess rating. I created goals like “Read 100 Endgames You Must Know” and “Use the Woodpecker Method.” I found time late at night, early in the morning, or during breaks. Qeap didn’t drive my entire quarter, but it helped me stay on track and make progress on something that mattered to me.

📝 How to Plan During Week 0

1. Identify 1–3 goals

  • The fewer goals, the more focus you’ll have.
  • Make sure they align with your Qeap’s purpose.

2. Understand outcomes vs. actions

  • Outcomes are your big goals—like getting in shape or earning $1K more per month.
  • Actions are daily or weekly tasks you control—like going to the gym 3x a week or taking an accounting course.
  • In Qeap, you track actions (tasks) to achieve your outcomes.

3. Add your goals to Qeap

  • Use the Goals tab to create your main goals.

4. Break them into actions and tasks

  • Think: What actions will get me to my outcomes?
  • Example: Goal: “Get in shape.” Tasks: “Go to the gym 3x/week,” “Eat healthy 4x/week.”

5. Add tasks to your Qeap

  • Use the “+” button in each week or the Goals tab to assign tasks to goals.

6. Review and refine

  • Make sure these actions are what you need to get to your outcomes.

7. Weekly assessment

  • Every week in your planning session, ask:
    • Did I make enough progress?
    • Was it enough?
    • What’s my Action Score—above 80%?
    • Should I tweak my actions or tasks to move faster?
    • What went well that I can build on next week?

Week 0 is your chance to plan boldly, but realistically. A great plan sets you up to exceed your own expectations over the next 12 weeks!
